Think on these THINGS

My friends the Word says to think on; whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Phil 4:8)

It may sound simple, but thinking on these things can, at times, be extremely difficult and challenging beyond belief. Many of us have been through various experiences to make us hesitant to believe. We have faced defeat so many times that our expectation is now defeat. This of course affects our effort-output. We become cynical and wonder what in this world we live in can be considered honest. We have given away so much that we no longer feel pure or lovely. Our life has been such a mess that we feel we have no good report to give. A life long experience with criticism has left us feeling like we have no virtue and have nothing to give praise about.

That is what it has become. So even though God's Word says to think on these things, life has beat us down to where we feel as though we can't do what the Scripture says. All of these life happenings have caused us to believe our feelings and set aside God's Word. Not because we don't love Him, but because we are human with human emotions that are difficult to ignore.

My challenge to you today, my friends, is this:

Set your feelings aside and pick up FAITH. If you do this I guarantee your FAITH will eventually change your feelings.

God is real my friends and his power is still available to you. PS 55:22, says to cast all your cares or burdens on Him and He will sustain you. He will never let the righteous be moved! 1 Peter 5:7, says to cast all your cares (anxiety) on Him for He cares for you. My friends, God has no problem with you feeling the way you feel, he only wants you to cast those feelings on him so that he may refresh you and sustain you, so that you may again think on these things: truth, honesty, justice, purity, loveliness, good reports, virtue, and praise.

Stay thirsty my friends. The Living Water never dries up.

The "Word" is truly born!™
