Keep thinking on these things

In a world filled with so many moving parts, it can be extremely challenging to find true focus and peace. Our thoughts can sometimes feel flooded and under constant assault from everyday life. From the time we open our eyes to welcome the new day we are already being bombarded with the thought of the days upcoming events. Before we can even get into our day we are already overwhelmed by it.

In these times we must remember that Christ has given us the authority to take every thought captive (2 Cor 10:4-6 NASB). So as you experience the blessing of a new day, refocus and think on these things:

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. (Phil 4:8-9 NKJV)

You will discover that if you meditate on these things your life will be replete with the things you think on more times than not.

Take care my friends.

  1. Hey, just wanted to say that the above discussion really hit home for me bro. I struggle with my thoughts, and sometimes they get the best of me. This definitely encouraged me to meditate (which is something that I do not do often). More importantly, meditating on the word of god and keeping my thoughts on the aforementioned things from that verse cited. To god be the glory and thanks for continuing to do his will in sharing his word.

  2. Thanks and I feel you. Sometimes we need to hear someone else say it to help us reflect and then readjust ourselves. God is great and powerful. He knew and knows we need each other. God bless and take care.
