Why I Love Him like I do

He is everything to me
My morning, My evening
My days end
Did I forget my beginning
My Love for Him goes beyond
Mere mortal words that can never
Tell the whole story
My life and who I am is because of Him
My joy and my peace is due to His Love for me
I need Him, I need His Love
I can’t do with out it
Why should I
I was born to be inhabited by it

So I cling to it
Like a husband to a wife
I can‘t let it go
He is everything
Out of Him everything comes to me
He is everything
Out of Him comes everything
I Love Him
There’s no changing that
I can’t Help myself
I guess that makes me Helpless
Helpless without Him
Hopeless without his presence
Not that I was sad before I knew Him
Actually, I knew joy
I knew laughter
I knew success
I knew Love
But only from a narrow view
Why did joy made me feel so good
Why did laughter made my Heart feel so warm
Why was success so important to me
I didn’t understand why Love required so much commitment and sacrifice
How could I
I was connected to the wrong things
Saddled with the wrong ideas
But freedom rang one day
The bull horn sounded off
The words called out to me
‘Come to me and I will give you rest’
I didn’t know I needed rest
The words called out again
‘You were fearfully and wonderfully made’
That’s not what some say when they see my skin
The words called out again
‘I am the way, the truth, and the light’
I thought what I knew was truth
That is why I followed this path for so long
The words called out yet again
‘No man comes to the Father, but through me’
What does this mean
If I come to you
Will my father show up and Love me
If I accept you
Will He call me on the phone
What does this mean
Silence
Then suddenly
The voice cried aloud again
‘Come to me and I will give you rest’
‘You were fearfully and wonderfully made’
‘I am the way, the truth, and the light’
‘No man comes to the Father, but through me’
I in my still narrow view
I said, it will be as you say
The voice then said
‘So be it’
My eyes were opened for the first time
And I gained understanding I had not known
OMG! 23 years later look at how I have grown
He is Powerful
He is Merciful
He is Truth
He is Love
He is Beautiful
He is Everything
Out of Him everything comes to me
He is everything
Out of Him comes everything
I Love Him
There is no changing that
I can’t help myself
I guess that makes me Helpless
Helpless without Him
Hopeless without His presence
But with Him
I know joy
I know laughter
I know success
I know Love
And I am known by them all
They follow me now
They cling to me
Like a husband to a wife
That’s why I Love Him like I do
He opened my understanding
So His reception could be complete
A special place
I leave dressed up for Him and I to dine
A special place
Like this heart of mine.
He entered
Sat down and supped with me
Touch my life and made me free
That’s why I Love Him like I do
